Post ID: @30y+1wbxk98F: Been a leader at humana for a long time and been in departments impacted 2017-2019 and 2021-2024: It’s not unheard of for a manager to call an employee and let them know they are being laid off. This happens when there are smaller/isolated layoffs or when there’s a future layoff such as when commercial or care delivery sunsetted. Larger layoffs are most certainly done via larger “confidential” meetings, but not all are done this way.

It doesn't happen that way. Managers don't call employees to tell them. Associates get a confidential outlook invite that says do not forward.
What positions are being eliminated??
Happening today people!!! Managers are calling employees and advising them their positions are being eliminated!!
The AIP policy has an exception for associates who are termed due to a RIF. Go to the associate support center, type in AIP FAQ, and the document should pull up.
Last poster- yes look up the severance and AIP policies.
Is there a way to see these changes in AIP and severance?
They quietly make changes on AEP and severance to ramp up for the real big SC--W YOU to employees that give them many years of hard work and loyalty. Run don't walk away from this company! KARMA!
They quietly updated AEP where we have to be working the day bonuses are provided. To me, it seems like layoffs would be likely so they can save based on terminations and by not having to include bonuses as they have in the past.
Yes
I think they’ll give 60 day notices in late January based on our abysmal AEP. Some teams that are lean will be unfazed but others that are not so, might want to take pause.
Isn't January usually when layoffs happen?
