They paid $350 million in fines for helping Purdue Pharma push opi--ds like OxyContin that has caused massive overdose deaths over multiple decades:
"According to the CDC WONDER data (2022), opi--d-involved overdose deaths rose from 49,860 in 2019 to 81,806 in 2022. This includes deaths involving prescription opi--ds, he---n, and synthetic opi--ds other than methadone (primarily illicitly manufactured fentanyl).
The same CDC WONDER data shows that dr-g overdose deaths involving prescription opi--ds rose from 3,442 in 1999 to 17,029 in 2017.
