June 2009 - go QS...Quiksilver will lay off 168 employees, according to the California EDD Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN).
The notice reports 153 workers will be let go on or by July 21 and another 15 jobs are scheduled to be eliminated on or by October 1.This is the latest round of layoffs for Quiksilver, which cut more than 300 jobs in 2008 and slashed 200 jobs from its Americas division in January as part of cost-cutting measures.
The company has not yet elaborated on what brands and divisions will be affected by the layoffs, but the notice said the jobs lost would all be in Quiksilver's Huntington Beach operations
