Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Raytheon Sudbury facility closed

Lots of IT people were laid off quietly end of last year. Services are down. Nobody taking over and nobody seems to care. Makes no sense and sooner or later will impact productivity. Sudbury facility is been closed too. CIO and LT clueless and harming the company.

There is no such thing as lifetime employment at Raytheon or anywhere else for that matter. Raytheon always adjusts its staffing levels (up and down) according to its needs and contract committments.

The best way to find employment at Raytheon is to network yourself in with an existing employee who can help facilitiate the interview/hiring process. DO NOT RELY ON POSTING YOUR RESUME TO THEIR EMPLOYMENT SITE! It's the classic black hole. Instead, network, network, and do more networking.

Best of luck!

Why dont you try to get into Andover plant. I heard there is a lot of work there and will last like years. Is that true or am I waisting my time to seek employment there?

LT is clueless indeed, they should be let go. CIO should be let go as well.
