I'm not in the know and it's Sept now, are they going to do it after Labor Day?
September confirmed. Those on list know
Lee Hecht Harrison- Out placement
Anybody know who the outplacement firm is they're using?
I heard more layoffs in September.
Expect more layoffs in August
Management at my Factory store got cut by a third.... hardest workers in the store and now gone
It's a 5% reduction globally, there should be no more this week I hope.
The job cuts shouldn't be surprising, brand mgmt has so much bloat it's not even ridiculous at how many directors and above there are... Especially given that SAP implementation to reduce redundancy globally and unify things. It's also an excuse to get rid of non-performers or disgruntled employees which this company seems to have a lot of.
I'm sure the economy is not going to pick so if you survived you may want to clean your desk of personal stuff or leave what you don't care to not pick up at a later time. I guess depending your function some didn't have the ability to take anything.
yes, they call one by one to discuss
Packages and sign confidentiality form. Designers, production, and warehouse people were cut.
It's a horrible feeling getting the boot. Even worse when the GM is no where to be found to tell you the news. And worst when the people who hired you are far away because of this company face lift. Guess lack of humanity exists in every big company, even the ones that are so proudly American.
How do people feel about the new brand structure? Any thoughts positive or negative are much appreciated.
The Sea Hag from Popeye from runs 888 Madison didn't even show up to any of the layoffs, yesterday. I guess she was too busy being a horrid cunt.
Confirmed they are laying off people below management, even people that have been with company 10-20 yrs ... So sad, didn't expect that from one of the "american" major players... But hey GM did it :/
The layoffs are beginning today. The office is quiet with the exception of people sobbing and the sounds of things being thrown into boxes.
I heard the same thing, so I can confirm this as an 'official' info
