Does OK Unemployment issue payments weekly, biweekly, or monthly? Thank you!
As a rule, severance is determined by ConocoPhillips and unemployment is determined by the government entity. Questions associated with severance are best answered via ConocoPhillips and legal guidance (a layer representing the employee). Questions associated with unemployment are best answered by the government entity. Pay associated with vacation and severance may or may not effect unemployment benefits and is determined by the government entity.

Please forgive mispelled words typed from my iPhone! Frustrating. LOL
ok . . . I was let go on the 1st with my final day the 21st on a TUES. If they don't pay for partial weeks - does this mean I won't be paid for anything until after the next week, and the payment will be for that last week of the month excluding the 4 days the week of the 21st?
I have followed l of their instructions and plan to obtain all of my benefits including unemoyment. As I understand it, I can qualify for up to 22+ weeks, & I will receive a weekly payment for all weeks except the week I receive severance.
If I am incorrec,, please let me know, and explain the process for all of us.
THANK YOU!!
Yes received unemployment checks. The process varies from state to state (in the USA) but as a rule apply for unemployment the day after the last day on the payroll -- online, via phone or in person. The paperwork provided by ConocoPhillips at the "layoff" may need to be faxed. The first "check" will arrive 3-4 weeks after the application. No indication ConocoPhillips is contesting the benefits. The unemployment insurance premiums for ConocoPhillips (and the oil & gas industry as a whole) will soar.
I am in Canada. We get unemployment after the time period stated in our Record of Employment (ROE) document. This document is available when one logs in to the Unemployment Insurance website.
Not yet, but since my last day was the 27th I applied yesterday.
The unemployment only pays from Sunday to Saturday. If you are laid off monday thru thursday you don't get paid for a partial week.
