If you take a look at layoffs that are happening at $verizon-communications right now you'll see that thousands are being cut, with us it'll be more a dozen here or dozen there, so layoffs will be very limited. But since we are so closely knit, you know that things can get very ugly even if 10 people are laid off. Ken Meyers has said on multiple occasions that things may be ugly going forward.

It's always about the bottom dollar.
Sadly, it started today with 64 people being notified they will be let go in 30 days from the IS organization. The company started changing about 2 years ago, when the OP posted accurately, and it was moving away from the "Dynamic Organization" (D.O.) as they call it. The D.O. was the reason I joined this company, but now from my perspective, this company is no different than any other I've worked for and the D.O. is no longer a focus. The employees are just cogs in the machine, and treated as such.
