Thread regarding St. Jude Medical Inc. layoffs

Sylmar

There were about 70 employes, VP, Directors, Managers, and operators. Mostly were old-timers. Seniority does not exit in St. Jude, it is only who you know. Most young people leave on their own. It is very sad to be here. Many people wish to be on the list at this tome too but they are not chosen.

It is really sad how a once fun place to work has become such a horrible environment. I worked their for 10+ years and finally, after one of their famous re-organizations, left. I agree that they seem to care less about keeping people and more concerned with buying companies, re-organizing, and laying people off. It is sad and, given all that I've seen there, I would never, ever use one of their products.

Thanks to all of you for sharing your story. Let's hope management is listening and we can help them make the right decisions.

Others are discussing layoffs and more on medtechy. It is anonymous and looks to be for the medical device industry. Good luck to everyone.
