United Technology (UTC) will gut Rockwell Collins like a pig, give it a year after the merger. Layoffs are coming.

You are an idiot, this company has constant layoffs. Just give it a few more years when they axe your job. This company is top heavy, too many managers, many divisions are on the for sale block.

I don't understand all the negative comments, I've been with Pratt & Whitney for 13 years and it's the best company I've ever worked for.

there's always a few people who are unhappy where ever you work but in all honesty Pratt-UTC is a great place to work.

United Technologies a terrible company, a lot of window dressing called ACE and 5S, managers b---s--- top to bottom, look it up of past CEOs, all violation of Ethics. As soon as they get caught of cheating the government, they will immediately dump that division.

i feel terrible for the employees who are not being treated fairly, losing their jobs, experiencing bad management and even being harrassed at work. i have been a vendor to Goodrich and UTC for years.

the employess who are in the trenches are the ones getting the work done and they will be the ones who are sacrificed by management. everyone we deal with at UTC has been excellent however we are noticing

less and less accountability for procurement. they are making huge mistakes in their purchasing department. Quality is instructed to reduce payments to vendors however they can including making

up quality issues that do not exist. The Government tried to block this merger because of these issues.

do not accept PO from UTC dont even quote a job unless you are recieving CC payment upfront.

i really hope the employees who lose their job and have lost their job are hired by UTC competitors.

God Bless our Troops

70% of the employees are overseas. UTC are old industrial company with no future, so you are working just for a paycheck.

Is UTC offering any sort of separation or compensation packages to the many employees that are being affected by these cutbacks and closures?

I think that UTC is waking up and smelling the coffee by realizing they should focus on elevators, air conditioners, smoke alarms and fire extinguishers.

UTC Albuquerque is closing their office in September 2016 and all (or most) employees will be laid off. Head count is somewhere around 150 to 180 being laid off. This is confirmed by my friends that still work there - both contract and permanent personnel. Horrible company to work for due to lay-offs from mafia type bean counters at corporate. They are mental midgets and do not care about employees. Do not apply to ANY of their jobs. They use SAP - the most hated and despised ERP system ever. Really stupid management. They over bid projects for a greedy profit margin and can't figure out why they don't get any new contracts. The are not even sure of their markets. Bad news for their customers like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, ULA, Northrup Grumman etc. Sorry state of affairs.

I heard through the mill that UTAS (United Technologies Aerospace Systems) chopped 25 to 30% of their workforce, (approx. 30 employees) at their state of the art Princeton, NJ, ISR Force Protection group, on February 4. Any truth to this?

In my experience, they do the dirty deed just before books closing for QTR & of course year end. Nothing yet in 2016, so WLOX may be OK for a while. MAKE SURE that you get all of your personal data off your computer, because if you do get whacked, they take your machine first thing. MAKE SURE that if you have employee scholar expenses that you keep your data safely at home- there was a class-action suit brought against UTC for not honoring their commitment to repay tuition expenses for laid off employees. MAKE SURE that you have all paperwork pertaining to workman's comp injury at home as well- they were not going to repair my torn rotator cuff until I got a lawyer & made them fix it. The injury was 10 months old by the time I got surgery and the tissue is all messed up.

Thank you, UTC, for making me disabled. Your $$$$ will make me feel somewhat better however.
