What is the likelihood of Bright Horizons Family Solutions layoffs in Watertown in 2016? Please let me know if you have any information.
It's doubtful there will be major layoffs. Instead there will be a bigger focus on closing their underperforming centers in weak spots in the US. They actually have 1000+ job openings for teachers and similar positions that go unfilled because the pay is poor and the company is loathe to increase compensation, even in high cost markets like NYC and CA. Staff turnover is massive in some cities and only getting worse. One thing to be concerned about is how will the mass firings underway in industries like oil/energy and retail affect those companies' spend on the employee benefits they buy from BHFS?
