Thread regarding Activision Inc. layoffs

Not laid off but left on my own in 2012

Used to work there, it was cool, most of the time. It’s very fast paced, sometimes it’s nuts…

There is no enough support given to anybody to meet the deadlines…. The execs know this but they play the game – they encourage the rumor mill, oftentimes initiating it, it’s kind of loony.

Keep your ideas for yourself, you kind of have to do what you are told – it’s hard to influence things while you are there – it’s OK for some folks, but if you have strong opinions, that’s hard…

The challenge is that most of managers who come from the game dev side simply suck, no people skills, etc so the turn over is pretty high and burnout…

Other than this, it’s OK – folks have fun all the time – I loved my team, a ton of events, free food, etc.. Pretty solid ...

I'm curious if this is referring to Activision or Blizzard. They are two companies that operate independently. This post sounds like it is someone who worked at Activision, not Blizzard.
