Transformation looms near. The support groups got theirs; maybe 10-12%. Now it's geoscience's turn. Scheduled for the first week in March.

Heard 300 a few weeks ago, but it's hard to say. This week, according to rumor, we'll see email invites to "meetings", go/stay "meetings" the following day, then a group grope "meeting" the next day for those left.
Learning these rumors through multiple sources and watching other groups because our group's leadership has been less than forthcoming even as to the process.
Looks like cuts will start on 3/1 and run through the end of the week.

Land group was told by management that March 3 is the date for them.
I wonder what level of management knows now? My 2 up supervisor is still claiming he doesn't know who and hasn't had much if any input on decision/ranking.
I expect more like 30% across the board. Groups like D/c, geo, and land will have it worse. Lots of those near retirement will be given packages. Will be interesting to see how they handle all the management layers vs all the workers.
They've been open but let this drag out waaaaay too long so it's affected moral.
Anyone heard numbers for specific groups?
