30 folks were laid off in Lowell.

The site is about to go extinct, we will be phased out within 36 months.

According to an announcement this week, the Lowell lease was extended to 2027, but giving up all current space and relocating to 4 lower floors by spring 2017.

Read my previous post. Kronos is taking over all of Tower 1. If you sit there now, you will be moved.

Kronos folks are running around Arris occupied office space measuring things in Tower 1 this past week, very odd.

The key will be lease renewal. The Lowell lease ends sometime in 2017 (Spring?). There was talk that the company would relocate those in the Lowell office. Last I heard, that move was off the table (but, I am certainly not part of the "inner circle", so who knows).

Kronos is taking over all of Tower 1 (T1) and will be moved in by Spring 2017. ARRIS currently has employees/labs on T1-9 and T1-12 which must move elsewhere in Lowell or be gone entirely when Kronos moves in (there's plenty of open space elsewhere in Lowell).

McClelland likes to outsource (if only we could outsource him!), so various product sustaining efforts in Lowell could go anywhere.

36 months never made sense, outlook is Spring 2017. Decisions will be made this summer.

Ex Motorola, now Arris.

Took the old moto sign down, too cheap to put a new one up.

ARRIS office in Lowell.

Is that an assumption on the 36 month mark or knowledge? I'm assuming closer to 24 months (or less).
