Do you think that there will be massive job loses due to the announced acquisition of Polycom? How about IT or Finance?

Worked in Tech Support for Inter-tel we were Merged with Mitel Saw a lot of people laid off the first day of Merger. Was Told are jobs in Tech support were safe some time went by more lay offs again was told our jobs were safe. Then after a few years more lay offs started losing people in tech supports was told no more would go. Then in June of 2013 we were told all are jobs were going to Canada and if we stayed till October 2013 we would get a bonus then we were gone. For me I think Rich McBee is scum of the earth. Our jobs were given to kids straight out of High School given a check list of things to ask then if they could not get issue resolved send the calls back to Arizona where they kept Level 3 Tech support to handle the calls. Mitel saved money customers were cheated out of good Tech support.
