Feels the same to me, honestly. I work in HPE and nothing is different. There wasn't a "hey we have more cash due to splitting away from a less profitable market segment" In fact, they have lowered 401K benefits, so there's that.

HPI thinks to save $$$ is to lay off more of their employees at an earlier date.... or just move it's function to a cheaper country. While this is understandable, HP Customers may not feel the same way. It will take HPI 2-3 times the cost to win back their customers once they leave. This is just a short term Band-Aid fix ...not a long term resolution. Why can't the upper level management (Meg +) take a pay cut ?? It just seems that upper management is "hammering" on the lower levels of support. My take on this: HPI may split up again - dividing the PCs verses Printing products. We can only wait and see.
