Thread regarding SolarCity layoffs

Love the silliness here but reality is.....

SolarCity is hiring out in my area. I am with the direct sales and we are the lowest cost of acquisition in the company. Subsidies are not going away and actually some states are adding more. The climate has never been better in solar. Numbers have slowed and that is due to the ITC being extended. People do not have to "race the clock" anymore. Suggestions of "buying local" and "wonder why this hasn't hit the news" are clearly comments from the competition and naysayers. With any merger redundancies will be eliminated. Solar subsidies don't come close to what fossil fuel subsidies are and they provide more benefits dollar for dollar. It really isn't even close. The new Tesla Energy will be the most forward looking company on the planet with huge potential markets and staggering profits. We are hiring in Buffalo for our gigafactory, Nevada for our gigafactory and direct sellers everywhere. A shift isn't a funeral it is getting leaner to reflect a changing marketplace.

Hey sales guy, what's the deal with panel pay 2.0 for the installers? I made 13 on tile and 11 on comp when I started, now, with years more experience I get 10 and 8. The worst installers have been laid off, The best installers have quit. I plan on quitting soon also. I made more money day 1 than I do now, yet I work harder and longer than ever at 17 an hour. The top crews all manipulate their numbers. One crew in my shop submitted 40 extra kilowatts they didn't even install one month. And they were rewarded, management was rewarded... We were 1 of 30 crews on a project told to submit our 12k complete at the end of the quarter when we had barely started. Good for the immediate number reporting horrible for long term expectations.

Suggestion: Take a look at the state headquarters are in. What would you say to the HUNDREDS of men and women who have been laid off in the last three months in one of the most expensive states in the country. This post is either sponsored or a sales tactic.

-from an ex employee that has seen the bad side of national solar companies.
