Thread regarding ACE-Chubb (Chubb Corp.) layoffs

ACE NEEDS TO REALLY REVIEW THE MANAGEMENT OF CHUBB AND WHO TO KEEP AND WHO TO LET GO

Ace needs to realize that the management at Chubb (local and Warren) are the most dishonest people. If one does not like you, they will do everything in their power to make sure you are destroyed as an individual. Long term HONEST, LOYAL, DEDICATED employees - watch out. Your dedication, knowledge and job performance means nothing. I have caught local management and management very high up in Warren lying to my face. If I had thousands of dollars, I was advised by a very top nationally recognized employment lawyer that I had an awesome case. Unfortunately didn't have the money to purse it. Hopefully all that screwed me over will get their dues. I can't wait to watch it happen. I hope ACE wises up and makes smart choices in who they keep and who they let go.

Ace has horrible management! They keep people in the dark to make decisions on their own without any input or direction, they make last second direction changes and then complain when there's a delay. Horrible leadership! Nobody knows (or cares) what effect their decisions may have on other business units. They just do what they want and tell NO ONE who could be adversely interrupted by their actions. People are constantly left hanging with no clue if they have authority to make decisions so they sit on their hands. Their seems to be no thought to planning. It's even evident in the new changes made to some buildings. One room was made from a hallway with recessed lighting down the center. It's awful. While sitting at a desk near the wall you block any light from hitting your desk. It feels like s prison cell.

Evan selects people who support the "Evan" mentality of business management. Scream at your staff and dominate them and they will give you loyalty. Yeah, right.

This is a highly unethical company. I won't give examples but there are many and some of which I have direct knowledge. One of the persons involved now holds a very senior management position in Warren. Enough said and time to move on folks. There is life after Chubb ~ go live it!

Same situation going on in Whitehouse NJ Branch, manager sleeping with direct report, internally moved to a job not even posted, manager has not performed a days work! Some of his direct reports doing less than minimum and it is all overlooked. Things are a mess, business is failing.

Mr. Greenberg, as long as you have the fancy marble office with a fountain, state of the art gym, and heliport, you should also tint all of the glass in the building to rose color! You are destroying us!!!!

Legacy Chubb claim managers in Atlanta believe they are exempt from the process because NO one is mining the shop! Leadership is highly ineffectual and ineffective! Sad, getting kicked upstairs is deemed a promotion! Ultimately, karma will make her presence! She has too many to touch at Chubb but she's coming! When she does arrive packages will be disguised as a retirement option! Don't be fooled!

One employee (married) was caught having an inappropriate relationship with a manager. The manager (married) was terminated and rightly so. However, the employee still to this day walks around proud as a peacock and was even promoted many times. Passing over much much more qualified candidates. Apparently, even though it was consensual they are afraid of the employee suing because its still a form of harassment. What bull the employee should have been canned too not rewarded. Let her sue and then put all of the shameful things she participated in out for everyone to see. Although everyone knows it anyway. Another way they pass over hardworking individuals for promotions to pacify an idiot like this. They wonder why morale is at an all time low.

You are correct and some of the HR people have spouses working there and miraculously the spouses jobs were saved while others around them were eliminated. Nepotism? I believe so. EOE I think not!!!! Your telling me these HR people don't go home at night and discuss business with spouses or other family members employed there???? That's how I used to get all the good info I worked with someone who was related to an SVP at Chubb.. Guess what Im out and that person is still there.hmmmmmmmmmmm Also, lots of Shananigans going on ...Just go over to the local hotel bar. You can see and learn a lot. Lots of inappropriate relationships.

Yes! You are 100% correct about that! Most legacy Chubb managers are tainted and they all rely on their relationships to keep them afloat and employed. Case and point, there is a poorly performing employee in claims who is in the same "chain of command" of a higher ranking family member. This employee's manager reports to his family member, therefore, his misdeeds and erroneous claim handling gets swept under the rug. Last I checked, Greenberg was supposed to "approve" such working relationships. Hey Evan! If you are reading this, look into the Atlanta branch. Not just the people, but the work and tell me how these folks are still employed with poor audit results! Even the local HR person has some questionable behaviors and relationships.

Attorneys don't charge you up front for "awesome cases". They would take their money on the back end if they truly believed you had a good case.
