We are searching for a Software Developer to work on a long term contract basis for a client of ours in El Segundo, CA. This candidate will have responsibilities including working with System Engineers and Architects to create software designs that satisfies industry standard, coordinating development efforts between multiple engineers or development teams, and developing software code for embedded Linux platforms

Requirements

5+ years of experience developing software applications with Java and C/C++, and multi-threaded and distributed application systems in an Unix/Linux environment

Ability to apply industry design principles and software development best practices, including UML modelling, sequence diagrams, data flow models, and design patterns

Knowledge of inter-process communication, memory analysis, code optimizations, and automated unit tests

Experience using software version control and issue tracking system

Desired

AT&T future surplus here. Actually what HR is doing is low balling the job so no USA person is qualified. You think they don't know that 40/hr is a joke? They will then either H1B that job or offshore it to Tech Mahindra in India. So not nuts, just another global corporation adding to the grand zero sum race to the bottom.

Most of those required skills aren't equipped by college grads. Video compression? really? lol. College courses aren't real experience. 5+ years and "Up to $40/hr" lmao. So the actual rate could be $30-$35/hour. These guys are out of their fking minds. They laid off so many engineers, now look what happens!? Pathetic.
