It is all about having a senior person as a mentor. I have seen very competent people, go nowhere, while absolute incompetents seemingly get promoted and raises. The company is built on a business plan that stresses month to month financials.

They promise much to clients, are careful what they actually write, include lots of weasel words in contracts, lowball hoping to make money on changes etc. They expect employees to give their all, for low wages and lots of promises and they try their best not to deliver to the customer any more than is absolutely necessary. Do as little as possible for as much as possible.

It is an awful company with awful ethos. It is being eaten away by third world outsourcing of its work, I T delivery is not the focus, only profits. Only work for them as an absolutely last resort and potential customers would be wise to completely avoid them. Usually customers engage with this company when they are very desperate and their I T is a complete disaster, in the hope that somehow it can be saved, or if not, they will have someone to blame. Awful company.

Sorry gang but this is the same $hit witnessed 30 years ago when T.I. started shedding jobs. Many former T.I.ers went to Compaq/HP/whatever.... and it was the same situation described hers.

Terribly written rant. It is all about the mentoring? What does anything you write above have to do with mentoring? Writing 101: Have your topic sentence remotely relevant to the rest of the work. If you are going to write a manifesto, have it be grammatically correct and coherent.
