Thread regarding VISA Inc. layoffs

Are layoffs still going on?

I heard that Tuesday was Cybs, Wednesday was Business, and Thursday was Tech. Rajat sent out the "resource realignment" email on Thursday letting us know that "some" will be leaving Visa, but it is cryptic. And frankly, it doesn't make sense for them to send out this email BEFORE the layoffs since it would just stress everyone out. Are layoff notifications still going out, or was it just this week?

Our last meeting with our SVP said that there will be no layoffs anymore in the next few months. But rumors say that in March there will be another round. That's when they're going to open another floor in Austin, I'm sure it will not be a surprise more East Indians will be hired. Getting rid of a lot of Metro employees, & leased at least 2 Metro bldgs will probably justify Rajat's multi million dollar new office in Palo Alto for him and his own kind. SMH...

My understanding is that the massive planned layoff referred to as "project reset" should have been completed this past week. But we all know, there have been continuous layoffs through the years - all small and people just disappear. Based on who I've heard was laid off, it certainly smells of older longer term employees - out with the old and costly and in with the young and cheap.
