Don't need to hire at lower salaries as TX pays for each head which lowers the cost.
Does anyone know if new SVP Procurement in Austin and if the Procurement jobs are moving there?
I have doubts they are hiring at lower salary, though they are now hiring staff w/o pensions. And looks as if Visa cuts out the majority of the seasoned staff before they have to pay out the proper pensions to them. Very few employees retire from Visa.
Not just hiring in TX, in CA as well. They eliminated older long term employees with higher salaries and now rehiring lower level individuals to do the same jobs but at a lower cost. These new positions will do the same tasks - it just won't be as costly. For example, eliminated a marketing consultant positions and now replacing with open requisitions for MBA interns - lower cost salaries.
