The chopping block was pulled out at the Bloomington Baxter December 1st. 12 layed off several Senior Supervisors in manufacturing let go with rumers of more layoffs to come. Baxter has our Manufacturing down to skeleton crews and expecting everything to run on schedule. I have been a Baxter employee over 10 years, morale is an all time low & people are worried about the future of our plant & their jobs!

The Baxter Bloomington plant is no longer a viable division. The equipment is outdated and in disrepair. Clients are moving to more efficient and cheaper CMOs. Only products that are no longer profitable to requalify at new sites will remain. Also the lack of qualified technical leaders and in general poor management has lead the plant to its current state. I would fathom a guess that the facility will go the way of the GE plant down the street.

Has anyone heard what the plans are for the Bloomington Baxter is it up for sale or closing?
