Thread regarding VISA Inc. layoffs

VISA - worst place to work Filled with ex pay pal folks who all support and stick to each other - there is NO merit

Most tech org. Is filled with ex pay pal folks - who were probably shown the door by pay pal - incompetent folks - all of whom have a silent coterie - they are not expected to work - all bonuses are pretty much controlled by the coterie - rest get peanuts

Not sure how Sr Mgmt has turned a blind eye - no one is scrutinizing DMPD closely - how can a tech unit of such a large co be run by sychopancy ?

If you need a career - if you believe in hard work merit do not work here

Worst place to work

Visa is a pretty good company to work for. Good management genuinely interested in employees welfare and development. Lot of opportunities for growth and internal mobility. Compensation is mid-range for bay area companies but you also have better work life balance

Visa is not a bad company to work for. It all depends on what department you end up working, your views and attitude towards a company. Once a person lands a job at Visa, they try to bring their friends . Visa has a great 'brand' but when it comes to working for Visa, it is a different story. Most of the people I know from outside talks negatively about Visa.
