"...Her modus operandi ..."

Exactly! She and her boss (PG) are the ones caused the downfall of DTV. PG was the one brought her in back in 2006 to run the integration lab. She could not do her job and blamed it on a poor engineer in charge causing him to be fired. Then, PG moved her under the sat group. She could not do that either, so she went to broaadcast group and destroyed that group firing people left and right. The whole broadcast dept just disintegrated, so bad that her boss's boss was demoted to run it. Then, she backstabbed the guy running SW encryption dept and managed to replaced him with PG's support.

Anything she touches will fall apart eventually. AT&T would not last long with her, you can bet on it!

Her modus operandi has been to gather the technical knowledge from person A, transfer it to person B, fire person A, and then constantly b--ch and blame the entire failure of whatever project failed on person A.

She is artful, conniving, and very skilled politically. ATT will never catch up with her machinations. If I were to pick one person that caused the downfall of DTV, it would be CG

Layoffs happened in El Segundo on Thursday during LA1 power outage. Entertainment Systems (Fat Connie's org) hit.

Totally believable! This will justify lower salaries with that transition of jobs from El Segundo to elsewhere.

According to salary.com, living and working in LA making $100,000/yr converts to a job making $89,557 in Dallas living in Dallas of course, with a cost of living decrease of 28.7% compared to LA. Your disposable income will go up by $18k. Of course you'll probably be asked if your open to relocation before having your responsibilities transferred to employee closer to the new HQ or other major base of operation.

Start planning now instead of having your future planned for you. If you fear you may be a discriminated against due to your age, you make want to take the relocation. The average age of AT&T staff seems higher than DTV legacy staff at least in engineering.

AT&T is financially smart and it shows. A reliable dividend is no accident.

$18,259 net change in disposable income

The cost of living in Dallas, TX is 28.7% lower than in Los Angeles, CA. Therefore, you would have to earn a salary of $71,318 to maintain your current standard of living.

Employers in Dallas, TX typically pay 10.4% less than employers in Los Angeles, CA . Therefore, if you take the same type of job in the same type of company in Dallas, TX you are likely to earn $89,577 .

El Segundo will be GUTTED. Too expensive for AT&T to keep people there. Be prepared as many have to move to Dallas or Atlanta.
