1000+ Layoffs at Walmart (Reported by Fox on Fri January 20, 2017)

Fox Business is reporting 1000+ layoffs at WMT this Friday (this was just published) - here it goes:

The layoffs, which occurred in midday closed-door meetings in Bentonville, Ark., affected employees involved with the retailer's supply chain, known as "replenishment," a person familiar with the situation said. They are expected to continue through the end of the month, executives familiar with the process said, as workers in human resources, technology and e-commerce are cut.

Here is the quote on layoff numbers:

Wal-Mart Stores Inc.'s plans were under way Friday to cut nearly 1,000 corporate jobs.

I think the implication is that there will be 1000 layoffs by month end. There were not 1000 today. It was closer to 135-150, and none of them were in USD.

@qat - i googled two words: formatting and thelayoff and got a link to #formatting (or follow this path: https://www.thelayoff.com/h/formatting

they use markdown to allow formatting, we are using it too for ISSP - standard markdown formatting
