A great document to read...case study: "Avid 2.0": https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/review?uri=urn%3Aaaid%3Ascds%3AUS%3A7f6edad6-ecba-42b5-8b12-a104f600f5be
Where there's billowing smoke, there's always fire. There's going to be a major shakeup and announcement at the end of Q2 this year, mark my words. And it's been a long time coming, that's for sure.
Targeted many, many employees with long terms of service (i.e, high salaries). A very loud message to long term employees. There is no money left, only debt. More loans to keep the boat floating?? Not a good business strategy. LHJ wants to close up shop in Massachusetts and at this point it is a good idea and word is it will be done. You have to respect someone who will execute his plan. He certainly has the effort well under way. In particular, Engineering jobs will continue to be sent out of the USA. Word in the investment community is that the strategy of eliminating a presence in Mass and moving the engineering jobs is being very well received.
It was closer to 70 people and a lot of older staff. Maybe another lawsuit in the works for age discrimination?
I heard 50 people axed and even some who had relocated to Boca to save their job.....
In typical fashion, the butt-kissing, brown-nosing underqualified mid-management has-beens were left untouched in Marketing, Sales and Products. Sell your soul is the name of the game here still!
Those left standing much more beyond this point at their own free will without an exit strategy are either desperate, pathetic, scared, clueless, ignorant, blind, inexperienced, incompetent, lacking confidence, complacent, recognize no one else will hire them, lazy, drama mongers, submissive, unworldly, or brainwashed. But passionate? Think again.
It's a transformation alright ..... a transformation to bankruptcy. But the big guy and all his pals will get their $$$ before the company no longer exists in Mass. Best to get out on your own terms.
So the latest speculative scoop from some industry insiders is that the disintegration plan is confirmed and the sell off is this year! About f'ing time. Severance anyone? Everyone?
it happened today.
Shocker! Like we didn't see this coming
