Becton Dickinson acquisition of Bard layoffs

Do you know if Becton Dickinson's acquisition of Bard going to cause any layoffs soon? Also, would HR, Finance and Procurement be affected. Also, how about IT?

BD's IT department is outsourced too.... and it s---s. Takes 3-4 days to get even one simple little thing done that we could have gotten done in an hour the old way. BD laid off most of their IT department in 2016. Half got offered positions with CapGemini, the other half were downsized. The ones with CapGemini reach the point where there is no obligation for them to stay at CapGemini, as they will reach the point where they can get their severance package from BD. The ones I know are counting down the days. Not sure how it is with Bard, but over half of BD's FLKS headquarters are either third party outsourced people from CG and HCL, freelancers, or contractors.

There are still some big shot IT managers/directors at Bard but they are faceless. Responsible for the biggest change but in utter denial of what IT has become at this place - a disgrace. One way or another BD will clean them out - why would they want duplicate IT departments.

What about IT? Bard laid off all of the IT folks in 2015. Outsourced to the lesser skilled foreign workers

September fast approaching. Management all behind closed doors. Layoffs imminent.

All about management and shareholders. They couldn't care less about employees. Moral is gone and the office feels like a funeral parlor. September can't come soon enough.

It's a hostile takeover. Of course there will be layoffs. Just research what happened to Carefusion employees after they were acquired by BD.
