So it seems IBM have bit more off than they could chew. Rumour has it they are in Renegotiation with Aecom and the work load. Maybe that means things aren't going to be so bad. but then why would you want to stay in a company that are getting rid of you. And TUPE is getting rid of us otherwise none of this would of happened. When you have such a strong team in EMEA in makes you wonder if AECOM actually deserves the incredible talent that we all bring to this company. Give us couple more years and I would say we would be one of the strongest IT teams globally amongst other companies. but no money is more important.

The worst IT that I have ever experienced in Canada (I suspect some IT now outsourced to IBM have fake degrees). Computers crashing while you work throughout the entire day. IBM is a joke and senior management made the wrong decision as I said when they gave the business to them. IBM has laid off so many people, who's doing the work?
I heard it all took a turn for the worse when last year some AECOM exec in LA got so pissed off with their surface pro not working with Outlook they threw it across the room in disgust and the vendetta's on the boardroom got worse and worse, forcing them to outsource to IBM... The funny thing is their Outlook didn't connect as their WiFi was turned off.
.....are riding this out to see what will happen at the end of the ride, you deserve everything that's coming. Wake. Up.
The outages will get worse and more frequent, IBM will move everything into their datacentres quicker and you'll all be out the door sooner when they don't need you, which is going to happen one way or another anyway.
All the decent staff are leaving or have left already, and soon just the sh!t will be left as they are too blind to see what's going on.
IBM will NOT pay a penny in redundancy to ANYONE, they will change conditions so much and make work live a misery, and force you to resign.
And yet aecom are still trying to make out to the general staff that it is a 'Collaboration' with ibm, they are using projects that were completed months ago and trying to pass them off as improvements made by ibm.
I totally believe this will be aecom's downfall.
So Austin had a major outage today. I thought IBM was going to fix all of this? Hmmm. Everyday it is getting more difficult to get things done in IT because so many have checked out or left and not back filled. Put a ticket in! IBM is hot on SLAs! HAHA only on L_AECOM folks but their folks sit on open tickets for weeks with no recourse. URS had this going on and AECOM trashed our platform only to screw it up and now outsource it. Im still in IT but man its taking its toll on some of us watching this mess unfold. Oh now they say IBM cant touched some of our data if they are not US citizens. NO Sh--!!! We have been telling AECOM that since they purchased URS. But management has money on the brain and doesnt listen to anyone

Whilst the whole IBM thing is an utter cluster f--- we we are or will never be "one of the globes's strongest teams" - too much "fly by night, short term, in it for themselves" regional management.
