About 250 people were let go last year. It was bad, my GF was one of them.

The medical bubble is bursting, along with a dozen other bubbles that were created since 2008. Enormous amount of debt used to open all kinds of medical industry businesses, from clinics to institutions and research centers.
All financed by debt. Unsustainable debt that now has to be repaid. This has barely even begun. This site is a good place to read about the layoffs happening in the medical field. Most of which are being covered up.
