Thread regarding Kaplan University layoffs

I am a former student of Concord Law School.

It is pretty good law school. I decided to go online after trying a local law school. The local law school was terrible with professors that did not prepare for classes and were not interested in teaching.

The bar pass rate is lower than ABA law schools but significantly higher than non-ABA law schools. The majority of students attending this law school are working adults with full day-time jobs. Some of them had to travel constantly. I even had one classmate who was fighting in Iraq against insurgents. This law school provides opportunities for a lot of us who can never dream off.

The bar pass rate is not low but is decent. If you can take into consideration that a lot of the students have to work during the day and study at night for the bar exam, you will appreciate the pass rate of students from this law school is actually pretty high. I passed my bar in the second attempt but a lot of my classmates passed the bar the first time.

Concord's current bar pass rates barely reach the level of pathetic....and watching their current dean trying to defend the school by talking about it's historic pass rates.....after they got rid of most of their faculty...is worse than pathetic, it's disgusting.
