Voya IT employees are either being laid off or are forced to be "rebadged' to Cognizant. The fact is those getting rebaged are terminated and as such should get severance which will allow them time to pursue other work. However, Voya claims they are not entitled to a severance if they dont accept the Cognizant position and get nothing. Then after a year, once they have used their knowledge from working for Voya for years, Cognizant will let them go without any severance or most likely any notice. They are messing with hundreds of people (about 40% of the total Voya IT workforce). How can we get more publicity about this shady action? I would assume President Trump wouldnt be pleased (lets not get political here please) about this horrible treatment of American workers.

Voya began laying of it's IT workforce in 2017. Workers were replaced by H1B workers and the rest offshore. Management practices are dishonest and disrespectful. The offshore model the brain child of Maggie Parent the EVP CIO and signed off by CEO Rod Martin former AIG goon.
Public pension funds should avoid Voya Financial
They do not obey the law. They told someone being laid off that a posting was only for a particular person working under a visa who they were going to support for a green card. This is not legal if the person being laid off is a qualified U.S. worker. When challenged, rather than do the right thing, they took down the posting.
It is terrible and and HR does a masterful job of keeping it out of the public eye. Just a slimy company using good loyal hard working Americans. Then to imagine they conduct a survey about company satisfaction. Please.....

What hypocrites - meanwhile Voya lays off and "rebadges" hundreds of its IT workers to Indian based Cognizant. Where in this article do they mention what happens if you get rebadged? Nowhere.
They will continue to get away with it until there is news in the press and they lose business to their competitors.
V oya claims to be "ethical", but what is ethical about doing an end-run around the intent of H1B even if they obey the letter of the law?
And making long-term employees train their replacements, who even if they technically speak English, fail to fully comprehend the instructions, or perhaps the contractors just don't care enough to follow the instructions, is nothing short of cruel.
And "rebadging" is just a way to get around paying severance.
They have been doing this for years, so why are they still getting away with It?
