What do you think will happen when the merger is done? Any layoffs in Springfield to keep some jobs in Nebraska?

Hear via the grapevine that the good guy at the call center was fired. So call centers are safe.
LOL, we are discussing the same things over on our side. Right now the stores are at a bare minimum on staffing, and the hundreds of mid-level managers, of which there are way to many, are scared fo what will happen to them. Give your CEO hat's off, he pulled off the coup of the decade on this one. The only thing for sure in this take-over, is TM and his hand picked crew are making out like bandits, and all of them have their houses up for sale in Sidney.
BPS will sink both ships. BPS thinks the future will be brick and mortar again, and internet will fade out. Ridiculous.
I just don't see this going through. We can't seem to support what we already have. our store is so shorthanded we can't even vacuum the floor or clean the bathrooms.
I bet there will be. From what I see we have something better here at Bass in a lot of ways, but Cabelas brings a lot of skilled people as well. They also commented they will keep people in Sidney. I bet we see some of the lower performers let go on both sides. I see a lot of areas being impacted (thinking website, call center, brand). We will knock a lot of their retail folks off.
Doubt it. I think the Nebraska office is toast.
