Thread regarding PHH Corp. layoffs

Favoritism runs rampant at PHH

if anybody is wondering why the company is in such bad shape, just look at the way management handles promotions. the level of favoritism and nepotism is ridiculously obvious. people who have been with the company for years have been passed over for laughable reasons in favor of somebody who's been here for a year, but who is tight with the top level. oh, and they have the same lack of "management experience" other people were turned down for, and yet somehow now it's not an issue???

not to mention, people who know they have somebody who hastheir back are treating those under them like crap. yelling at people in public is a regular thing. if you can get out, my advice is to do it, it's not worth it anymore.

Yeah, when i worked there the favoritism trickled from the top all the way to the bottom. Certain sales consultants never had to take any queue calls and only had to take care of slam dunk calls from Merrill Lynch financial advisors. Some of the team managers were pretty terrible - one woman specifically in the Jacksonville office - and it was mind boggling how she ever got that position.

That's why PHH will be closing.

That’s the way it’s always been. Remember the guy who used to run sales? Short, glasses, balding. He wrote the book on favoritism. There was always put downs and yelling. This isn’t new. Management is and always has been a bunch of school yard punks. No talent, no education. I’m not surprised they burned that place to the ground.
