Thread regarding Fluor Corp. layoffs

Despicable practices

Just lost the contract in GA too to Bechtel. And holding people "hostage" at CPChem in Baytown while it is closed down from the storm by not allowing them to go back to work, refusing to give good layoffs and holding their boxes hostage as well. I've never worked for such a very cold hearted company in my entire life. Horrible people, horrible management. This company is an embarrassment.

Is this true? Can somebody confirm this? If this is really what they are doing, Fluor is more despicable than I thought.

true. i couldnt get a lay off due to the hurricane irma mandatory evacuation back in florida. fighting for unemployment and fluor does not have a layoff due to natural disaster.i was told i could come back at any time. well anytime turned into a personal quit on their part and a new contractor taking over. they consider this a personal reason and you do not qualify for unemployment with a personal reason. then new contractor takes over and no one is given a layoff, they are just transferred over.
