The lengths to which PNC will go to save money off their employees' back always astound me. They always come up with these little schemes to ensure that the hardworking people are paid the least possible amount.
One of their latest is the hard cap on raises. You can't get more than 10 percent, so even if you get a promotion thanks to your skills after you accepted an entry level job to get a foot in, you are stuck with a measly pay that will be significantly lower than that of everybody else who works in the same department.
They also widened the pay bands, so some promotions don't even come with a raise, or if they do, it's a ridiculous sum.
Not sure what their thinking is on this, we are losing good people left and right because they don't see a way for proper advancement. This will most definitely cost PNC in the long run.
