I worked for R.R. Donnelly at the Danville, KY plant. It's clean, excellent ventilation, catered cafeteria and good pay as well as great insurance and retirement. You just have to work. Something people don't want to do anymore
Hiring in Crawfordsville Indiana
They are always hiring in their Bedford MA. plant. Either always a turnover or people keep quitting
My company sold the edition bindery department. The whole industry is in decline. Machinists will be feeling the pinch soon, now that 3D printers are using metal.
Welcome to the new world.
Well I work in lacaster west and see some the books that come out of Minnesota. I can see why they are closing them. Lacaster division does 65%of the company total business and they just invested 20m on new comail equipment I we think we would be the last to go
RRD is not going to survive. Toppan is a better option.
Where are the biggest plsnts at?Is the new Ky plant in Lebanon Juntion safe?
I also heard that the IL plants are not safe. Where are you interviewing? I have a family and a layoff is not an option!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LSC was part of RRD and they are closing their Minnesota plant this month. I don't think any of the small plants are safe. They keep closing them. It is cheaper to do it at the biggies.
yeah. It is too expensive to do business in IL when they can pay people less to do it everywhere else and close the plant. The taxes here keep going up up up and the schools are a joke. I'm interviewing to get a job in a warmer state wtih lower taxes and less problems. They say they'll pay me to move, but we'll see if I get the job!
I heard there are layoffs coming in Minnesota related to a plant closing at the end of 1st quarter, anyone else hear the same?
