Is company stable now? I have an offer and need some honest advice pleased. It seems there have been a lot of changes in the last year and most seem for the better.

Hard to say. 97 were laid off yesterday. They were told they have until January 8th, to find another job in Illumina and if they cannot find one, they are out. With severance packages. Company is holding to their 'severance guidelines: 1 week of severance for each year of employment, excepting upper management: typically, VPs get 3/4 of a year severance with the same length of time for Cobra coverage along with other upper management perks. They laid off a VP who was just voted 'San Diego Business Woman of the Year.' More to come (possibly as many as 200). The company can best be described as "turbulent." Morale is at an all-time low and has been decreasing steadily for the past 3 years. It's a nice touch that they are doing this just before the holidays. That is now how the company rolls.

Yes! Work environment is amazing. Much like Qualcomm was before they began having troubles a few years ago. Many wonderful things will be coming from illumina in the near future. Welcome! If you choose to accept the offer.
