15 folks will lose jobs - there is a few local media outlets that covered the story.
So much for all that 'rock solid economy' talk.

I was one of the 15 that were laid-off back in October of 2017. UC Riverside surprised them all with lay-offs by scheduling meetings described as regular day-to-day tasks. Nobody was given any heads up. The 15 people were in all different departments of IT. The lay-offs and the actions of administrators gave those that didn't get laid-off an elevated sense of anxiety of being next to get the ax.
