I am surprised there is no coverage about this (Kroger Downsizing Pharmacy) - Even the media is not covering it - I see other companies write about cuts extensively yet nothing here on Kroger Pharmacy. We'll see how things develop, I think over time the cuts will continue to be deep and painful.

The Atlanta Kroger Pharmacy Districts are in terrible shape. Hostile working environment would be a kind way of describing the atmosphere. Most pharmacist hate Kroger. They are staffing only one pharmacists at a time with long shifts. This means no lunch or dinner break and no bathroom breaks. Think there is a law to protect employees against that. Hours are all over the place. One week they don't need you and the next week you can work 60 hours. Vacation policy changed but no one can explain it or give you a copy of the policy. They are pushing all this MTM,etc...... more work to do in a day then 3 pharmacists could accomplish. The District Managers were all let go and they hired replacements that are "yes men". If you ask them a question the answer is "I don't know." Hoping word will get out so those of you in school will consider another career. Don't waste your money in Pharmacy School. All retail chains will follow Kroger. It is a MISERABLE JOB!
KROGER has obviously a very invasive IT security department to not have anything negative come up online. I have contacted a news station to reveal the nightmare conditions of pharmacists job and job security to protect people to not chose this field (because it’s nationwide, - but at the same time one of our truly super pharmacists was on TV and spoke super positive- but guess what - he is already layed off - he did so much for the company hoping - but he left Colorado with nothing lined up. And that is not the only sad story....
I do believe someone needs to contact local news station investigating team to do an expose. All of these cuts keep getting made and we all bend over and take it. Myself included.
I have worked for Kroger many years as a ARM (Associate Resource Manager) (Non-Union) for the Nashville Division. They are eliminating our positions one by one. You do have the option to leave or go on the floor as an Union hourly clerk with a huge pay cut.
But what is worst, the Nashville HR has changed our PEDs to Low Performance without our knowledge. Even the Unit Managers that has given good to great remarks didn’t know anything about it. This effect your rating and the amount of merit increase you would receive. I heard that any rating 3 or below will be targeted to let go. Go and check your 2016 PEDs review and go to your signature at the bottom. It would be the box above your name. The Unit Manager were told to leave it along and there is nothing that will be done.to correct it. Think about it, look at the money they are saving on cutting our merit rating and making us easy targets.
What happen to Kroger Core Value on Honesty, Integrity and Respect or does this only pertain to Union and Non-Union Associates and not Upper Management.
It’s not just the Pharmacy they are now going for the ARMs (Associate Resource Manager) especially in the Nashville Division. A lot of unethical things going on with Kroger. Read my post on “Shame on Kroger.” Posted 10/25/2017
