Thread regarding PNC layoffs

My experience with PNC layoffs and overall...

I worked for PNC for about five years. Overall, it was a good experience even thought I was laid off in 2013 due to changing "business needs". You need to understand that PNC keeps growing and it is doing well - some departments will have smaller cuts and IT is always a target as IT employees tend to be better compensated.

Also, from PNC's IT perepsective things change constantly, new technlogies are rolled out and some positions will become redundant as PNC pivots and changes it's business model. Less branches, less tellers etc - but more tech.

I hear that there were cuts this year but I have no details.

I moved on, I work for a smaller regional bank right now and we are doing fine. PNC gives you skills that you'd be able to apply anywhere you go.
