Seriously people, if you are surprised by this, where have you been for the past several years? MetLife has made internal restructuring a regular thing. The company has been relocating and laying off people on regular bases for years, they just haven't been labeling it as layoffs. Don't fall for their "restructuring" speak, it's just semantics. We should all know by now what it truly is. Good old days of MetLife are over, we have become one of those companies that solves all of its financial issues with layoffs. Sad but true.
