Thread regarding Intuit Inc. layoffs

Stealth layoffs still persist

Some things might change at Intuit, but stealth layoffs of seasonal employees remain omnipresent.

The company tends to over-hire every single time (how hard is to learn from your own mistakes, really) and then looks for every and any reason to let you go. Even if there is no reason, one will magically appear.

I've seen this happen to people for years now. It's a lousy way to treat people even if they are not permanent employees. The company boasts integrity without compromise, yet turns around and does stuff like this. In the words of Inigo Montoya, “You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.”
