Can people at Hess realize that a company is run by more than simply engineers and geologists?
It's astounding how little respect you get here if you are in other departments. Do people really think that accounting and finance don't contribute to the company's operations? Or even IT? Really?
This could be the reason why we outsource so much, instead of focusing on doing the same work much cheaper internally.
Hess really needs to start doing a better job of evaluating value added by all of its employees. They might be surprised at the results.
