I was an employee of Fannie Mae for several years and finally left because I could no longer sit idly by and watch as teams were berated by management who showed very little regard for any of their staff members. Some in management were not capable of engaging employee growth from what I witnessed and were rude and at times used intimidation tactics.
It’s not unheard of to witness someone in a leadership role who lacks accountability when deadlines aren’t met and places the blame on another. There are those in senior management who feel such a sense of self entitlement and are only after their own self interest which has caused trust issues.
When you have no respect for your superiors, given time - you will have no respect for the company. Your employees are your backbone in the company - not your stepping stool.
