As a store manager for Big Lots it always angers me to have upper management make these asinine decisions at the store level when most of them have never worked the floors! We are expected to run a store successfully with very few hours allotted for staffing.
The processes we use are labor intensive. Instead of investing in better resources to make completion of tasks easier and having those investments pay off in the long run (resulting in fewer work related injuries) you’d rather save a buck.
Seriously, you need to invest in better equipment, better training and more manpower. The company is just screaming ‘workman’s comp’.
