I don't care how bad the situation is at a company, you do not save on costs by not offering safety training!
People who work for General Mills work in a number of hazardous environments where they can not only hurt themselves, but also lose their lives. And yet, they are forced to learn everything by themselves and hope they get it right.
My husband works at GIS, and he was given ZERO guidance on how to safely do his job. I'm not sure how they are not worried of all the potential law suits that could come from this. Then again, they probably calculated the costs and figured out it was worth it. Who cares about lost lives if they can save a few dollars overall.
Shame on you, General Mills.
