Not sure what we are looking at now the merger is off the table.
While the merger would have brought major layoffs through consolidation, in the end I believe it would have helped us survive. Sprint has been lagging with modern analytical tools and skills for years now, this was a chance to catch up.
I believe that we could still recover if the company decides to invest in its people and tools. However, the more likely scenario is that Sprint will continue to focus on quarterly results by laying off more people instead.
I guess now we wait and see...
