I know banks tend to be bureaucratic by nature, but Barclays is in a league of its own. It's so bad that it's hard to get most things done in reasonable time. I'm not sure how nobody realizes how much we could improve our business if we simply cut a bunch of unnecessary red tape.
If that were not enough, we have a bunch of older analysts who are obstructing and blocking any changes to our products. Why they're so afraid of the change is beyond me. I understand that the system we have used to work just fine, but if we don't follow and change with the times, we'll fall behind our competition significantly.
Our turnover is getting higher constantly. No wonder younger people are leaving in droves. But in an environment that stifles change and progress, I can't really blame them.
