It seems to be headed in that direction. It is about time. Nasty work environment with some of the most unfit to be in management folks you could ever imagine.

The store has a tech depot, trying to get BestBuy Geek squad customers. The training is a joke. Well that's the least of it's worries. Things like Old registers from 15 years ago. Leaking roof. WiFi that's so bad it's laughable. Think about it. Try looking at a computers performance with a WiFi that can't handle it? Whats ironic is they sell routers that are faster, why not store use one? What about weight belts for lifting heavy furniture? Before the merger with office Max, you had those. Now none can be found. If you hurt yourself, it's your problem. Sometimes it's just three people in the store. They have to many eggs in one basket. Eventually something is going to fall.
Some office depots just need to change there managers because people are tired of getting treated sh--ty and it affects People! Their health , they wonder why you can't work because they treat people awful
This company is doomed. They have closed so many stores and have been attempting to remodel their stores to smaller blueprint stores yet company wide they have less than 25. They will close its definitely a matter of time. They treat their employees like crap, very shady ways in which they hide showing a profit. Time is ticking ODP until you will be in bankruptcy foreclosure just like Toys R Us.
I don't doubt that the company will be in dire straits by the end of the year. Far too many hurdles to overcome.
Reorganization, new roles, new leadership would work only for a healthy company that has a USP.
But with a company that is severely commoditized with Amazon chomping at its heels, an old mindset, old obsolete platforms, layers of overhead and while trying to innovate and survive at the same time, impossible!
There is a huge difference between earning revenue and being profitable and growing. Remember, revenue can also be recorded at the time of delivery of services and product, not the time that cash is actually received. This is under the accrual basis of accounting.
Just enjoy the ride while it lasts.
