Looks like a small 25% reduction to shop floor in one location with a handful of salary. Who knows what will happen once Brookfield signs on the dotted line in September. If you have vacation use it.

It's nothing to chuckle over. Almost 60 people will lose their jobs in Newington, NH. Many talented union and non-union people. Management knew of the downturn in shop hours three years ago and have been unable to bring any work to the shop in that time. Management continuously places impediments in the way of the skilled personnel from performing to the best of their abilities. Now, it's those skilled personnel and their families who will suffer. There will be no severance pay for those who are terminated. The management in Newington as well as much of Westinghouse needs to go. Hopefully Brookfield will see the same thing and act accordingly. Yes, use your vacation time if you can, they won't pay you for it, even though you earned it.
The comment about vacation made me chuckle.
But it's not time to laugh.
This is sad.
